LATELY, I’ve been thinking a lot about the importance of showing warmth in relations with others; making one’s self more available both emotionally and physically. I’ll admit I’ve been guilty of “putting up walls” with others, to protect myself from disappointment, rejection, pain, etc. I guess I’ve been cold. It must be a late 20-something thing; all this reflecting deeply on life – making the transition to a more whole adult by age 30. Whatever it is, I’m grateful for the insight and the ability to point my finger at myself. It’s so easy to blame others - but real growth comes from the courage to say, “It’s my own fault” or “I need to change”.

As a preteen into my teenage years, my personal style was constantly influenced by my favourite musicians, actresses and even songs.

I want to revisit a post I would create often in early 2012. It was the ultimate ode to both my love for music and fashion. A collage inspired by a song – but this time, I want to make it more interactive with my readers. The first reader who can spot the inspiration in the collage, that’s related to the song – will receive a comment on their most recent blog post and a tweet highlighting their blog!

She was sorry. He was moving to a new city. They were no longer together. She thought it a good idea to call him, one last time. Then she’d be done and able to move on. He was still upset. So she dressed and went for a walk, passing all the places they would spend time together. This is what she wore…

Arguably the most hated family in the world. I thought I’d share a few reasons why I *gasp* love the Kardashians.

1. They stick up for each other. Whether it’s a sex tape scandal or a DUI, the Kardashians defend one another, like they’re being paid to do so. Okay, maybe they are – but, the fact remains they do love each other and it’s very evident. Sorry “haters”.

2. They’re gorgeous people and that’s okay. They also take the necessary steps to remain in tip top shape, through exercise and nibbling on everything from Apples to Cheetos.

3. They have their own reality show. Hey – do you have your own reality show, produced by Ryan Seacrest?

4. They spread the wealth to family and friends. What is money without a little honey? I love the generosity on display.

5. They know how to have a GOOD TIME. Whether on a fabulous vacation in Greece or watching movies at home – they enjoy each others company so much, you wonder if they have friends outside of the family.

6. They have beautiful homes! Okay I love an incredible home and I’m probably the only person on the planet who gets super excited when I see the caption: “KIM’S HOUSE” .

7. I sometimes, very secretly wish, I was the sixth sister. You know, Toni could be short for Kitonia or Kalatonique…
